Annie Sloan Country Grey Vanity

I love a simple project.  This vanity was just that.  It had a spray painted high gloss black finish when I started working on it.  While I like black the paint on this vanity was all beginning to chip off.

My client is putting it in her daughters room and thought a soft creamy color would work better.  We chose Annie Sloan in Country Grey.   I’ve done several makeovers with Country Grey you can see a few here and here. After some sanding to smooth the chipping areas, I applied two coats to cover all the black.  Then finished it all up with clear soft wax.

  1. I recently redid a small child’s desk with the same type of drawer pulls. Do you know anything about the pulls? They appear to be homemade?? What do you think? Have you ever seen these on another piece? If I could still purchase them, I would use them on other pieces. Love the look.

    1. Thank you!!! I haven’t seen them before but I sure did LURVRE them. I’ll let you know if I find a resource for them. 🙂
