You know that furniture style that you always go back to?  The one that catches your eye no matter where you look?  For me that style is simple….vintage….shabby chic white.  I LURVE white painted furniture.  It’s so simple and clean looking.  Today I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite white painted pieces.

Vintage Dresser Before the White Paint Transformation

I purchased this dresser at an antique store while I was pickin.  It was in pretty rough shape but with a little securing here and there and some white paint it really came to life.

I actually used flat latex paint on this piece.  Yes you can paint furniture with latex paint.  I did if for years before I was introduced to milk or chalk type paints.  I still use it from time to time now.  It take a little more prep work but it’s still very beautiful.

This next piece, a headboard was a client project.

My client had debated whether or not we should cut the spindles out of the bed but after I got it painted they ended up looking great!

Vintage Desk Painted White

I don’t have a before picture of this desk.  Just take my word for it….it was not pretty.  It had been well used and had no finish left on it.  I had to do quite a bit of work to it but it was so worth it after it was all painted and pretty.

wardrobe after

Lastly, this white wardrobe.  I decided to heavily distress it to give it a really worn look.

So tell me do you have any furniture in your house that’s white?
