Barn Sale Rescheduled for May 9th
Dealing with inconveniences is just one of the things about being an adult that I could do without. You know what I mean?
I’ve been working, as many of you who follow me on Facebook already know, on my barn sale goodies for the last several months.
It’s been a constant labor of love getting everything ready.
And I have managed to turn out more projects than I ever imagined. I have been so excited anticipating meeting new people and sharing my love of “junk” with others!
So when we received downpour after downpour of rain and then a forecast that predicted more on the way with some of it including severe storms Saturday, Prince Charming said “babe it’s just too wet.”
That was the moment I decided to postpone the sale until next month. And that sucks. Especially since now that I’ve postponed it the forecast has changed {slightly} and now there’s not going to be as much more rain!?!?!?!
I’m not sure if that’s not more disappointing. Anyway,
lemons to lemonade, right?
These kinds of decisions are ALWAYS hard for me. I struggle with “is God trying to tell me to press on and trust Him more” or “is God telling me I’ve used you in this all I need to and it’s time to move on”. Tell me some of you have this same struggle…..
Anyway back to the rescheduled sale. This delay has allowed me some more time to work on projects and add some fabulous things. It’s even allowed me to invite one of my besties to participate!!!!!!!!! Which is extremely exciting for me. My friend Kathy of Petticoat Junktion will be bringing lots of rusty-crusty “junk” to sell and I couldn’t be more thrilled with that! She has a fantastic eye and we have lots of fun together. Y’all are going to LURVE her!
The rescheduled sale is going to be fantastic and include a “pickin pile” for those of you, like me (cause there are a couple of you, right?) who like a great deal and a project.
It’s also going to include tables and chairs….
Really cool vintage beds….
some custom chests of drawers…
old toolboxes…
and arrows hand painted by my talented daughter.
Oh and I can’t forget this super awesome sheet music wreath.
I’m actually hoping to make several more. We’ll see if I get to it.
Last but certainly not least I’ll have the new paint line I’m carrying available. DIY chalk type paint is the best! I can’t wait to show it off and help you fall in love with it too.
Hope to see you at the sale, May 9th from 9-2 in Fairview TN.
Beth, I struggle with God too at times. But when I read your post today, I felt strongly that he has your back. He will always have your back. Plus, your friend Kathy will be able to be there and sell her things a win- win! You’ll have fun with her and another person th schmooze your customers, know what I mean? God will never leave you……
I hope everything goes well and you have more time to finish more beautiful creations. Wish I could be there too. Don’t worry, everything is going to be great! Good luck!
Thanks Sally. Everything you said is true but sometimes life just throws you curve balls and the enemy takes them and runs!!!! Thanks for your encouragement. 😉
Beth
I know exactly what you mean……sometimes I really, really, don’t like these feelings, but I’m learning to stop for a second, take a deep breath and remember LIVE BY FAITH NOT SIGHT. This usually keeps me from choking someone.
Oh, one more thing, dont think I don’t empathize, because I do. I can see how hard you e been working and I’m sorry for the disappointment. Truly I am, I just hope you double the sales!!
Beth, I’m sorry about the delay in your barn sale. I know how hard you’ve worked to put something like this together, but the delay will give you time to add even more goodies. AND. I can now attend. I had plans this weekend, but I’m free for the rescheduled date. So, part of me is doing a happy dance. Sorry!!
Ha Kristi,
You’re too funny! I’m glad you’ll be able to make it. Thanks for your support. 🙂
Blessings,
Beth
