Hutch Painted in Miss Mustard Seed’s Kitchen Scale Milk Paint
One of the first large pieces I painted with Milk Paint was this beautiful hutch. I found it on a pickin’ trip in a junk store. It was covered with crud. After cleaning it throughly I decided to paint it with Miss Mustard Seed’s Kitchen Scale Milk Paint. I didn’t add the bonding agent because I wanted a really chippy primitive finish.
I painted two coats of paint on it and then used a puddy knife and fine grit sandpaper to distress. I finished it up with MMSMP furniture wax and here it is.
If you’d like to know more about using Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint or you live in the Franklin/Nashville area contact me to register for one of my upcoming classes held in downtown Franklin TN.
Wow! So pretty! Love that blue color with the distressing.
Gorgeous!! You do such a beautiful job, Beth. Don’t know if you remember me. I was talking to you about painting our kitchen cabinets. We had them done and they look amazing. I am so happy I had them done and just wish you could have done them for me. Thanks again for your help!!
Hi Sue! I’m so glad it worked out for you. Email me a picture if you get a chance. I’d love to see them.
Blessings to you my friend!

Hi Karen,
I’m not sure if I understand your question but yes I have used wax after the second coat of paint. I hope this helps.
