How to Make a Christmas Banner
I’ve been slightly obsessed with banners lately so making one for Christmas just seemed to make sense.
I used a roll of burlap that I got at Michael’s last year and some letter stencils from my craft stash.
First I cut the burlap into 12″ long pieces.
Next I folded the sections in half and cut them to make two points. (Make sure when doing this that you cut from raw edge to the fold.)
Next I enlisted the help of my talented daughter for some freehand snowflakes and used the stencils to create the words “Merry and Bright”.
To join it all together I used thin jute twine purchased from the dollar store by gluing it to the back and then folding over 1″ to create a little pocket.
And there you go! Easy peasy! I love how it looks on my plank wall which you can read more about here.
