Man Cave Closet Makeover
It is rare {lately} that Prince Charming and I have time to do anything for ourselves. Owning your own business while dealing with all the other things in life takes up lots of time. Between painting kitchen cabinets, teaching painting classes, building farm tables, and on and on we don’t have much free time. So getting Project “Man Cave Closet Makeover” finished was a BIG accomplishment.
We’ll start at the beginning.
We have, like many other couples I’m sure, shared a closet ever since we moved into this house.
It’s an average size and has served the purpose. But last year we moved our master bedroom into what used to be a bonus room in our house-
And that’s when we decided that our old bedroom would become MY GIANT WALK-IN CLOSET!!!! (More on that coming soon.)
So our old closet is now hubby’s very own mini man cave and that’s what I want to show you today.
Here’s what we started with.
We decided to rip up all the carpet (not pictured) and add hardwood floor.
Installing hardwood is actually a really fun job.
Perfect for relieving stress!
Next hubby added wood and some old tin we had to the walls.
I love the way it added so much texture to such a small space.
Then he added galvanized pipe for the hanging bars
We also bought all new wooden hangers. (In these photos they hadn’t all been switched yet but you get the idea.)
I know this sounds completely over the top but honestly I am constantly breaking those plastic hangers and I was just over it.
These faucet hooks from my shop are super handy too.
And there you have it. A boring closet transformed!
Oh nice! I love the metal on the walls! And good call on the hangers. Looks so much nicer! Turned out perfectly.
Thank you Cecilia.

Randy was telling us about this last week when we stopped by the shop (you were doing a kitchen). It looks AMAZING! And I think I see a little something I recognize! Glad he found a good use for it!!
I laughed to myself when he told me about getting all new wooden hangers – because I’ve been thinking about getting some myself because I am constantly breaking the plastic ones!
You certainly do! He was so happy to use all those drawers. The hangers are seriously money well spent!

Love the way you used the speed limit sign! You truly decorated it with manly touches that any husband would appreciate. Thank you for all your great ideas!
Thank you Claudia! Lots of them were hubby’s ideas.

Love your ideas. Wish I had your and your husbands talent.
Awww thank you Ellen!
You my friend are the best of the best!! Absolutely love the transformation!
I need a little bit of that energy of yours so that I could get stuff done around my own home 😉
Thank you friend. I used to have a lot more but lately it’s running low.

Wow Beth! This looks like it could have come right out of an expensive closet ad. I love the texture. Can’t wait to see your closet!
Thanks Karen! I can’t wait to see my closet either….it’s still a work in progress.

Hey girl,
I’m taking a hiatus from FB and Insta for a while, so I had to get on your website to see what was new. Randy had told me about his closet makeover last time I stopped by to pick up some paint. It looks incredible! I miss your face! Hope all is well! I’ll stop back in soon and see what else I can add to my home, hee hee.
Blessings!
Ohhhh how I envy your hiatus! I wish I could be done with them both….it’s so stressful keeping up with them. But they help my business. Thanks for the sweet comments about the closet. I hope we can find time to do mine soon. Stay tuned for some fun events for October. I’ll be celebrating my 1 year anniversary.
🙂 Beth
