Miss Mustard Seed Kitchen Scale Dresser
Let’s talk about milk paint, shall we?
I love the look of milk paint. I love its unpredictability and how easy it is to use. I think the “chippiness” of milk paint is wonderful. If you haven’t used it I encourage you to try it. The only drawback is that if left unsealed the paint will continue to chip and come off. Sealing isn’t hard, just use a durable wax.
For this dresser I used the color Kitchen Scale. It’s a soft country blue that looks great on just about anything.
For a project this size I used about a cup of paint. It took two coats in most areas three in some. The paint is very easy to apply and cleans out of your brush easily as well.
I then sealed with clear wax and “highlighted” various areas with dark wax. My client is going to use this as an entertainment center for her new flatscreen television.
