Procrastinators Christmas Home Tour and Giveaway
Yes, you read the title of this post correctly. Procrastinators Tour. That’s me. I am, that wait until the last minute girl and pretty much always have been. In fact as I write this I should be in the garage finishing three pieces of client furniture that are scheduled to be picked up this afternoon but no instead I’m sitting here on the couch writing this post. I digress.
My friend Kathy of Petticoat Junktion and I were on the phone the other day. I was telling her how I felt like the only blogger in the world that hadn’t gotten invited to do a Christmas home tour and how no body likes me. I know poor, poor pitiful me. But to my amazement she shared with me that she hadn’t done one either. We switched to something else and then said our goodbyes and went on about our days. Then a few hours later I get another call from her {now in order for you to understand what a big deal this is I have to tell you that we are busy ladies and we talk on the phone maybe once every couple weeks so two calls in one day is a BIG DEAL}! Anyway, Kathy proceeds to tell me about this fabulous idea she has for us to do a “Procrastinators Christmas Home Tour” and how we can ask some of our blogging friends if they want to participate too (as if there will be any, cause no one else waits until the last minute to do a Christmas home tour)..and I’m like heck to the yeah! I’m in! And so was born the procrastinators Christmas Home Tour. But the coolest thing we found out……. not only are we surrounded by fantastic bloggers but they are procrastinators too! Glory, glory hallelujah! We are not alone.
And now without further ado I present to you my humble abode, {minimally} decorated for Christmas.
Welcome y’all come on in!
First and foremost let us remember the reason for the season….
Jesus Christ our savior is born!
This nativity is usually the first decoration I put out.
Next I like to decorate our banaster with lighted garland and few ornaments……
sweet and simple….
This year I bought new stockings but I don’t really like them. For now they’ll work but I’ll be hitting an after Christmas sale or making a few out of burlap for next year.
In our family room you’ll find a fun banner I made recently {click here for a tutorial}
And now for our tree. This year we have an artificial tree. I got a great deal on it at a local big box store and although I really love the beauty of a real tree this is so much less mess and work….
The ornaments were all purchased at Big Lots. They’re all shatterproof! Gorgeous and affordable.
We have an angel for our tree topper. Prince Charming and I bought it our first Christmas together.
This train is one of my favorite things this year. It was my granddads. He passed several years ago and left this to my son, his first great grandson. It’s very special for me to have it here. I miss him so very much.
I sure hope you’ve enjoyed this little tour or our home. May the season bring you lots of special moments and memories with the ones you love.
Please grab your favorite beverage, get in your comfy spot and enjoy all these other fabulous bloggers. You’ll find them at the bottom of this post. And as a little added bonus for being here and putting up with our procrastination we also have a giveaway for you to enter.
And last but certainly not least a BIG shout out and thanks to our generous sponsors, Online Fabric Store and Farmhouse Decor Shop for the $50 gift certificates that are made possible because of them!
Now have fun visiting these fabulous blogs!!!!
I think it’s Perfect and I’m the same way with a Million things going at once. My Tree was up a week before I was able to Decorate it.Have a Blessed Christmas and enjoy that Gorgeous Tree! Smiles.Cindy
