Annie Sloan Duck Egg Table and Chairs
These chairs. This table. I couldn’t wait to get my paint brush out for these guys. So many lovely details just waiting to be discovered.
My client purchased the table and chairs separately for her new house and because the stain was a little different on them she wanted to find a way to bring it all together.
We choose Annie Sloan Duck Egg
Duck Egg is such a soft color and I use it quite frequently on dining room sets.
I love how the detail of the chair backs just popped with the color and a little distressing.
I left the seats natural. They’re in great shape and I love the contrast of the blue with the straw seat.
I think the armchairs were my favorite. After applying the wax and buffing it they have such a smooth feel to them.
I love a natural top. I’ve painted tabletops in the past and I’m not opposed to it but I do tend to feel that when I leave the top natural and do a little distressing to reveal the wood in other place it just brings it all together.
