MY ESCAPE

If you’ve been around here very long you know I love my coffee.

How to Clean a Keurig_

It’s one of the things I look forward to in the quiet of the morning before things get hectic and loud around here.  But lately I’ve been noticing a bit of

well……GUNK in my Keurig when I insert the fresh pod each morning.

I’m super embarrassed to show you how nasty my coffee maker

really was but I want you to see this for a reason.

The last thing I want to think about is cleaning.  I mean let’s face it I’ve got PLENTY

of other things to be painting I mean doing with my time.  But a few mornings ago

when I looked at this I knew I had to do something.

I didn’t want to use chemicals to clean it for obvious reasons and while

I’ve heard you can clean a Keurig with vinegar, honestly that kinda grossed me out.

SOOOOOO I decided I’d break out my handy HomeRight Steamer and see if it would clean it.

  18. We just got a huge – I mean HUGE – English Mastiff and even though I do about 84,000 loads of laundry a week , he’s still stinkin’ up my utility room. I think steaming the floors would be the PERFECT way to get that room clean…especially if I used a few drops of essential oils in there.

    1. Leiah-I just spit my coffee laughing about 84,000 loads of weekly laundry!!!! Hilarious and so true!

      🙂 Beth

If I won the HomeRight SteamMachine Plus, the first thing I would clean would be my oven. I would love to clean this without using harsh chemicals 🙂

    1. Betsy-it’s GREAT for that!!!! 🙂

  23. If I win, I will use the HomeRight Steamer to clean just about everything! However, the 1st thing I would clean is my oldest son’s bathroom from the bath tub to the floor and the sink counter area. Another priority would be my oven. Thank you so much for this wonderful giveaway!

    1. You’re welcome Angie! 🙂

  24. I just got my first SteamMachine in the mail… my house smells amazing… and my floors are glowing! I have a 9 pound dog with 40 pounds of hair, so I’m super excited. I do have a vacation house… so I need another machine! It’s at the beach, so we have constant sand and salt on our hardwood floors. I can’t wait to use my SteamMachine over there!

    1. Yippee Julia-if you win I’ll be happy to personally deliver the machine to your beach house! LOL!! Good luck friend!

      Blessings,
      Beth

  25. Patrycja Chudziak says:

I would steam my bathroom because my boys are always making it gross, but then I would steam clean my ENTIRE house!! I am drooling at the thought of all the different things that I can clean with this awesome machine….I even told my husband if I don’t win, he HAS to buy it for me!

  26. Christine Mills says:

Thanks for the information. I never thought of steaming my Keurig machine.

  27. Everything in sight! 😉

  28. Shelley P says:

I’d steam the kitchen tiles first 🙂

  29. M L Trent says:

I would clean everything. I haven’t been able to do any deep cleaning for years because I have had severe back pain since 2003 & last Nov. had cervical spine surgery. I’m just now getting to where I can move to be able to clean & I just get so excited to see my small baby step progress. This would help to clean floors without putting anymore strain on my back & be able to clean things that I didn’t think I would ever be able to clean without calling a professional.

  30. I honestly would clean my coffee pot with it AND the floors around the toilet….That area just grosses me out.

  31. I would clean my stove. The grates on my stove never seem to look clean. I think the steam would do the trick and there’d be no harsh chemical odors.

  32. I need to clean all my appliances.

  33. Becky Thornburg says:

Ooh….my keurig and the water dispenser on the fridge would be first..then after that, who knows!

  34. I would clean my whole house – start on Spring cleaning early! I have two dogs that go in and out several times a day and they bring foot prints and dirt each time especially when it is raining. I can see that the steam cleaner could be used everywhere in my house from windows, wood floors, walls, tile floors… anywhere.

  35. Claudia McGee says:

if i win, the first thing i tackle would be the kitchen floors. Having 5 fur-babies eating and drinking in there defiantly calls for a deep cleaning lol . thanks

  36. I would like to win this steamer to clean my laundry room floor.

  37. September Whisenant says:

I’ve never gotten one of the steam machines because they don’t work well on my waxed concrete floors. Now that I know this one can do more than floors, I may have to reconsider. Thanks for an informative post.

  38. My bathroom and my art studio!

  39. Kaye Newman says:

I will clean everything in my kitchen and bathrooms/ Plus all my curtains in the house.

  40. We have cheap windows in our house and the tracks especially at the bottom are always getting dirty and sometimes get a bunch of mold from all of the condensation. I would use the steam cleaner to clean out the tracks around the windows first. There are a lot of other things around the house that this steam cleaner would be excellent for cleaning.

  41. Kerry Schwidde says:

I would use it to clean the grout around the sink s in the bathroom and kitch, the oven, ect!

  42. Tina Krenz says:

When I saw the picture of the tile, I wondered if it would work for my shower tiles. They’re about the same texture,
and also, my Keurig machine is a little different model than that, and I’m sure it could use a cleaning too. I’ve had it now for 2 years now, and never cleaned as of yet. I would love to win one of these things, so I could try it on my shower tiles and see if it would help with the soap deposits and little bit of mold that is starting to appear here and there. It would be awesome if it did work, then I wouldn’t have to buy so many different products, trying to figure out what would work on it. So far, nothing does.

  43. Angela Cash says:

If I win, the first thing I will clean will be the floors in my kitchen and bathrooms.
