How to Prime a Chalkboard
If you’ve ever painted a surface with chalkboard paint, only to have it not erase properly after writing on it the first time, I have the solution for you…..priming. Priming a freshly painted chalkboard can make all the difference in the world and it’s super easy.
First take your chalk and hold it sideways. Then cover the surface of the board with chalk.
Just like this.
Next take a dry paper towel or cloth and wipe the chalk into the surface.
The surface should then look like this. Presto! You’ve got a primed chalkboard that will erase easily and completely.
Great ideas!!! ~Christy
Cute blog, but if you want anyone over age 45 to be able to read it, please use black text instead of this light grey. I can barely see it on my laptop in the daytime, never mind trying to read it on my phone in the evening. Thanks!
Hey Julie,
Thank you for your feedback. I must say in 7 years of blogging I haven’t ever had this complaint. I am actually in the process of updating my blog right not. I will definitely take this into consideration.
Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful Sunday!
